75-YEAR-OLD MAN WHO SHOT BURGLAR MUST PAY HIM  ₤2000

A 75-year-old man who shot a burglar who attempted to break into the shed in his vegetable garden yesterday was ordered to pay him ₤2000 for the damage. Ted Newbery had been sleeping in the shed because vandals had been destroying his garden. KENNY COMES HOME
